A talented young horse rider has qualified for one of the most prestigious shows in the country.
Nine-year-old Amelia Lee, who has been riding since she was three, has qualified with her grey Welsh Section A pony, Waxwing Painter, for the First Ridden and Junior Ridden classes at Hickstead International Horse Show.
She wowed judges at a qualifier at Ipswich Showground on Saturday.
Her mother, Hayley Lee, 39, an accounts assistant, of Bures, said: “I am really, really proud of her.
“For her to qualify in two classes, not just one, is fantastic"
Amelia, who attends Earls Colne Primary School, added: “I’m really excited to be competing at Hickstead.
“I feel quite confident and hope that we get placed.
“Painter is definitely my favourite pony. I love riding and hope to become a famous rider when I’m older.”
