Children enjoyed a fete in the sunshine on Saturday.

Butterfly Montessori Nursery, Colchester Road, formerly called Puddleducks, held the event to celebrate its revamp and reopening, as it is now under new management.

There was a bouncy castle, face painting, stalls, teddy bear picnic and cake decorating for the children, as well as a DJ.

Mary-Ann Lakey, manager of the nursery said: “We were a little worried about the weather, as you never know when April showers will strike, but we have had lovely weather and it is great to see all the support of local people."
