A parish council believes it has completed the final piece in the puzzle after a massive village hall upgrade.
The decor, facilities and utilities at Ashen Village Hall have all been improved as part of a five year Ashen Parish Council project, which finally concluded when the refurbished car park and entrance were officially opened last week.
A £10,000 Big Lottery Fund grant and a further £2,000 from the Essex Community Foundation helped fund the works, along with council reserves and money raised by councillors.
