A cardboard coffin created by a family business took centre stage at a TV soap funeral.

Millions of viewers tuned in to ITV last Friday to witness the funeral of popular Coronation Street character Hayley Cropper.

And the coffin created for Hayley’s low-key humanist ceremony was supplied by Ridgewell-based company Greenfield Creations.

William Hunneybell, who inherited the business from his father, was sworn to secrecy by show producers ahead of the episode’s broadcast.

What everyone will want to know, and what you haven't told us is:

'Is the production and supply of cardboard coffins something that Greenfiels Creations are into as a normal line of business'? or are they some sort of stage scenery type company? or what?.

This report is so feeble in substance!
