One Direction made their first awards show red carpet appearance as a foursome and were greeted by deafening screams at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
The boyband arrived at the MGM Grand Garden Arena without Zayn Malik, who left the group in March.
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan all sported black jackets as they took photos with fans in the desert sun.
Taylor Swift, who dominated the awards with eight wins, arrived in a white cut out jumpsuit accompanied by the cast of her highly anticipated music video “Bad Blood” which premiered during the show. Sporting a shorter, wavy haircut, she was joined by her pals including singer Zendaya, Victoria’s Secret angel Lily Aldridge and actress Hailee Steinfeld.
Empire star Taraji P Henson also opted for a cut-out look, choosing a daring black gown with panels exposing her back, thighs and waist.
Jennifer Lopez also flashed the flesh in a silver and nude embellished gown, showing off her cleavage and toned midriff.
British singer Charli XCX opted for a more simple look, wearing a vintage black slip from the 1950s, telling E: “I just wanted to walk out of the house, throw it on and go.”
Reality star and model Kendall Jenner stuck to the popular monochrome theme in a black and white pearl-embellished tuxedo jacket with black skinny jeans, white her sister Kylie chose and black and white leather minidress and thick gold belt.
David Guetta went for an all white look, sticking to the monochrome theme that many of the stars seemed to have opted for.
Hozier looked to have slightly glammed up his look for the occasion, but stuck to his grungy roots.
Celine Dion, one of the evening’s performers, proved she’s still got it in a skin tight number with a very high-cut thigh split.
Good old Mariah Carey can always be relied upon to bring the glamour to any event.
Rita Ora was facing that awkward moment when you know you’re going to run into your ex and his new girlfriend, but you’ve accidentally chosen a very similar outfit to hers.
Britney Spears kept herself covered from head to toe in a nude coloured dress, while boyfriend Charlie Ebersol went for more of a “fun” look.
Meanwhile, Britney’s performing partner Iggy Azalea opted for powder blue bodycon.
Chrissy Teigen showed she isn’t afraid of a strong pattern in this stripy get-up.
Molly Ringwald was another of the night’s jumpsuit devotees, going for classic black.
Check out that two-tone suit on 50 Cent.
Meghan Trainor chose classic awards do glamour.
Hailee Steinfeld got the monochrome memo, too.
When does Ed Sheeran not look like this? If it ain’t broke…
Recognise Idina Menzel? The stage star has gone blonde.
In a dress more suited to one of her beauty pageants, Miss America Kira Kazantsev made sure all eyes were on her – but not necessarily for the right reasons.
Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy also struck a low note in the style stakes in this mermaid-inspired gown.
But the night’s award for the most bizarrely-dressed guest has to go to singer Dencia – she’s been described as a cross between Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, and in this kaleidoscope of colour complete with visor, you can see why.
