COLCHESTER United claimed another point on the road following a creditable 0-0 draw at Salford City, on Tuesday night.

The U's are eight points above the League Two relegation zone, after they claimed a point at the Peninsula Stadium.

Colchester fans have their say on their side's second successive goal-less draw on the road.

Teddy Dwan

Good point on the road against a decent side. Slipping down another place in the league in concerning, but tonight the U's showed they have enough to survive this season.

Doug Fenner

At last something to be positive about. Play like that until the end of the season and we'll be fine, in fact beat Southend at home and we'll probably be fine. Wiredu a stand out signing and Man of the Match, but also a mention for Clampin as another stand out performer.

Danny

Positive result another clean sheet, need to win the next home games coming up to relieve the pressure!

Jeff Coates

An important point and another clean sheet. Seemed to be creating a few chances too. Pell making a difference. Shame that others won but we stretched the gap to 8 points (effectively 9 with GD) over Southend so the mathematics are in our favour but we really do need a win or two.

Tristan Green

Big improvement over the last couple of games .

Just need to find the back of the net now hopefully it will come this Saturday

Wayne Brown is a proper manager. Big hearted, articulate & knowledgeable. He’s been there, done it & commands respect so the players are playing for him. He’s inherited an absolute mess & if the philosophers, analysts and plethora of coaches and DOF leave him be, then we’ll be ok

Will Press

Positive performance and much improved from previous weeks. Deserved the win and thought Sarpong Wiredu was unreal. Move on to Saturday for a massive game and hopefully build on this performance and get a win.

Steve Wood

Still need to improve in the final third, but a decent, battling performance.

Tom Flint

Great performance, loads of positives to take away. Wiredu was the standout performer. He continually broke up Salford’s forward play and I lost count of how many passes he intercepted. But it was a really solid team performance too, a huge improvement on recent displays.
