Colchester United were beaten 2-0 at home by Newport County, on Saturday afternoon.
U's fans have their say on a disappointing home defeat for their side, at the JobServe Community Stadium.
Steve Lowe
I think it’s a good thing us fans are not in the stadium at the minute because I couldn’t see them playing any different if we were. It’s becoming a shambles and can you imagine the booing. Things can only get better next season.
Harry
Awful performance, three away games in a row now and can see us only getting 0/1 points. We’re still right in the thick of a relegation battle.
David Fincham
Thought we were outplayed by a better team and as time went on we got frustrated and lost our way. Total lack of confidence and Newport just weren’t going to allow us to build on midweek win. Go again on Tuesday
Paul Olorenshaw
Terrible performance terrible tactics players out of position back to formation that hasn't worked for years. It's like Brown has been told off for playing something different Tuesday which got us a win. Relegation is still possible due to not changing the club's philosophy
Laura Aylott
not looking good for the U's, passion seems lacking and no quality up front, our '4' number 9s need to start earning their wages. we have no leader and it's hard to watch the team week in week out. Wayne is doing the best with what he has been given. we dont know what he is dealing with from above? I agree playing players out of position isnt the wisest move, but with only one official striker on our books, we are going to have to try players up top to sort out the mess the recruitment team have put us in ...
Jordan
One step forward followed by two steps backwards. This insistence on one way of playing and constantly shoe horning players into unnatural positions is costing us dearly.

WHY CHANGE A WINNING TEAM and A WINNING FORMATION
Samuel Shippey
just not good enough
Elliot
another awful performance, maybe the worst i’ve seen this season. it’s clear the formation doesn’t work we play it for 14 games win 0 change to 352 win then go back to the losing formation and no surprise we lose. Humes and De souza have got to go. didn’t look like scoring once.
Ron
Love having more up front for U's but midfield seemed to suffer because of it, also it's good saying there were 4 No9's but that then means 3 of them are playing out of position, still no real goal threat
Si
Not good enough. Even the most optimistic of fans is losing the faith. Yes there is the argument of the interference from above. But even with the system and formation dictated we should be playing better and having the fight. That was lacking today. Just do the basics well first
Liam
Another game with minimal (1) shot on target is becoming harder to swallow!
Lesley Bryan
If binging Jevani Brown on & putting him on the right is the best he can do, whilst leaving a totally ineffective Callum Harriott in the 10 role, he really should look at doing something else

Total lack of confidence, no initiative in trying to break the opposition down and unconvincing at the back. Barrow winning and have games in hand....
Matthew Blaylock
Plenty of square pegs in round holes when there was no reason to have it that way. The fans want to understand who’s making decisions on the team as the only direction we’re heading is down
Jeff Coates
I really don't understand what is going on anymore. Why is everyone being played out of position? Why change a winning formation? Why is no one putting up a fight. How can we manage so few shots on target with so many forwards on the pitch?
Doug Fenner
We finish the game on Tuesday night with players in their positions, playing with a bit of confidence & coming out with some momentum. Thrown away by the changes & playing square pegs in round holes again. Wide players central, central players wide. Makes no sense at all
Danny
We’re going down with the Shrimpers !
Adam Walker
Pathetic yet again from us. Nothings changed and nothing will if humes and de Souza are still here. This is a joke from top too bottom and the philosophy has complete destroyed this club. WE’RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
Jamie Hudson
The players lack the ability to even pass the ball, no attacking threat whatsoever, players ego getting the better of them in games, 3 changes from the defence we had last season and it shows, all the replacements aren’t good enough, some of them are youngsters thrown in
