PHIL Brown is interested in coming back to Southend United for a second stint in charge.
The 61-year-old won promotion with the Shrimpers from League Two during a five year spell in the Roots Hall hot-seat which ended in 2018.
But Brown is among the bookmakers’ favourites for the role and would be keen to make a return.
“I’ve had no contact from Ron Martin but would I be interested? Absolutely,” said Brown.
“It’s always flattering to be linked to jobs, especially if it’s somewhere you’ve been before because it means you must have done a good job.”
Brown has managed Swindon Town and both Pune City and Hyderabad in India since leaving the Shrimpers.
