COLCHESTER United host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow night, in a mouth-watering Carabao Cup third-round tie.

The U's will be aiming to beat Spurs and cause another big upset, having dumped Crystal Palace out of the competition in the last round.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to bring a star-studded squad to the JobServe Community Stadium for the clash.

But with upcoming Premier League and Champions League games to consider, who is likely to feature in his starting line-up?

Here are five players that could be action for Spurs, in the sell-out clash.

1 DELE ALLI

DELE has started only once for Spurs this season, in their Champions League draw at Olympiakos last week.

The England international is still feeling his way back from a hamstring problem which has curtailed his involvement so far.

Dele was left out of the Spurs squad for the Premier League game at Leicester City last weekend and boss Mauricio Pochettino may see this match as a perfect opportunity for the former MK Dons youngster to get some much-needed minutes under his belt.

2 CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN

IT has already been a strange season for Eriksen, who was the subject of plenty of transfer speculation before the window closed for Premier League sides last month.

The skilful Denmark international is thought to want to move to Spain and is out of contract, at the end of the current campaign.

He came on as a late substitute in Spurs' 2-1 loss at Leicester City at the weekend and Spurs may see the Colchester game as an opportunity for him to start.

3 LUCAS MOURA

THE fact that Moura only appeared for the final few minutes of Tottenham's defeat at Leicester City at the weekend could serve as a hint that he is in their line-up to face Colchester.

The Brazilian has found himself in and out of the Spurs side so far this season but his talent is unquestionable, as he demonstrated in the club's fine run to last season's Champions League Final.

Colchester's defenders will certainly have to be on top form to contain Moura, should he be involved tomorrow night.

4 ERIC DIER

HAVING been largely a mainstay during Mauricio Pochettino's reign in charge of Spurs, the midfielder is yet to play a minute for them so far this season.

The England international was an unused substitute at Leicester City at the weekend and Pochettino could see the Colchester game as an opportunity to hand him a first start of the campaign.

Dier, who featured against Colchester when the two clubs last met in the FA Cup in 2016, has recently been suffering from a hip issue.

But he has been on the bench for Spurs for the majority of their games, this season.

5 VICTOR WANYAMA

Having looked to have been on the verge of a Spurs exit before the transfer window closed last month, the midfielder made his first appearance of the season at Leicester last weekend.

The Kenya international came on as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat and could well be handed a start against Colchester, with Pochettino likely to rest the likes of Harry Winks and Tanguy NDombele for the Carabao Cup clash.
