BRAINTREE Bullets BMX Club are proudly wishing good luck to 14 of their members who are heading to Zolder in Belgium for the 2019 UCI BMX World Championships.

The riders attending the event have all achieved a minimum of a top 16 place in their respective age groups and will be looking to bring home the coveted W plates from the championships.

Club coach Julian Allen said: “This is the biggest number of riders we have ever had the pleasure of sending to the World Championships and we are extremely proud of all our riders’ achievements.

"This group have excelled at national level and we wish them well out in Zolder.

"The track over there is long and technical, but we have given all of the riders the background information on the facility and the training required for such an event.

"Amongst the riders travelling to Belgium, there is a great wealth of experience at events of this level and we really hope to see them reach their full potential and strongly believe we will have a number of finalists.”

The event will be at Circuit Zolder from July 23 to 27 and the Elite classes will be shown on www.bmxlivetv.com during Saturday, July 27.

Meanwhile, the club's Summer Race Series continues every Wednesday at the Deanery Hill track with racing from 7pm.
