BRAINTREE and District Motorcycle Club have regrettably been forced to cancel this year’s running of the annual Jack Hubbard Trophy motocross event at Stisted.
The event had been scheduled for June 9.
The club is indebted to Dixon-Smith Farms and Whitehead Farms for the loan of its land for this long-running event, however, dry weather this year has led to the cancellation.
Due to lack of rainfall at a critical time, cattle-grazing has been delayed, which has meant fields used for the motocross will not now be available in time.
Other farming activities have also had to be prioritised this year, limiting the facilities needed for the event.
