COLCHESTER United's under-23s shared the spoils from an entertaining 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest on Monday afternoon.
The sides met in a Professional Development League contest at Forest's training ground, having been moved from the original venue at Alfreton Town.
It was the hosts who drew first blood, thanks to a penalty from Arvin Appiah.
The 18-year-old slotted home after being fouled in the area.
Colchester were on level terms by half-time thanks to another goal from striker Ken Charles.
The U's then took the lead in the 70th minute, thanks to a curling effort 25-yard effort from Tariq Issa.
But Appiah coolly buried his second penalty of the afternoon ten minutes from time to secure a draw.
