HAKAN Hayrettin says Braintree Town's game in front of the television cameras is the ideal opportunity to show the rest of the Vanarama National League that they are not going to be the division's whipping boys.

Having not had a game for two weeks since a 1-0 defeat at Aldershot Town, the Iron return to action on Saturday with the visit of Solihull Moors to Cressing Road.

With it being screened live on BT Sport, the game will be kicking off at 12.30pm and the club have slashed admission prices to encourage a big crowd to cheer the team on in front of a global television audience.

Adults can get in for £10, with concessions £7 and under-18s £5.

The game will be Hayrettin's first in charge since he was appointed as Braintree's permanent boss after a month in caretaker charge of the team and he wants his players to showcase themselves and prove that their place in the National League's drop zone is not one they are going to settle for.

He said: "It's a game I'm really looking forward to as it's a chance for us to show everyone what we are capable of.

"I've told the players that they have to be a team that people are wary of rather than whipping boys and this is an opportunity for us to show that we can be that team that puts fear into others.

"You do that by winning games of football and we have to keep grinding out results.

"We have to show people that we are fighting back and that we are doing the right things.

"I want us to have that mentality because if you do something, you do it with passion or you don't do it at all.

"Now they need to show me that.

"We know we will be tested because Solihull Moors are probably one of the most difficult aerial sides to play against in the league and they are very direct so we have to match them physically and make sure we are on our game."
