ANGELO Harrop is back at Stanway Rovers.

The club's highly-successful former manager has returned to The Hawthorns as Director of Football.

He will work alongside manager Lee Fisher and assistants Paul Nicholson and Kevin Wren.

“We’d like to welcome Angelo back to The Hawthorns as Director of Football,” said a Stanway statement.

“He has a wealth of experience and we believe this will be a really positive move for the club and community.

“We endeavour to give Angelo the support he requires, in making a start on rebuilding the processes of the football club.

“He will be responsible for many aspects, with the main aim to create a smooth pathway for each individual player from the youth teams through to the first team.

“We hope you can join us and enter this change with an open mind and adapt to the positive changes that are implemented by Angelo for the progression of the club.

"He is extremely passionate about working alongside the current board and managers to create a professional outlook on the club as a whole going forward and intends to bring the community spirit back into the club."

Since leaving Stanway, Harrop had a spell as part of the coaching team at Bostik League neighbours Brightlingsea Regent and he has also been playing for Thurlow Nunn League side Stowmarket Town.
