IT’S almost a year to the day since we went to Yeovil Town and beat them 1-0, to end a run of four games without a win.

We take on the Glovers again tonight and although our form is a lot better now than it was back then, it would still be great if we could mirror what happened 12 months ago and get three points after our defeat against Bury, last weekend.

I said a couple of weeks ago that I’d be very happy with five points from the three games against Oldham, Bury and Yeovil.

Well, if we win tonight it would be four points from nine which wouldn’t be a bad return.

There are a lot of teams around us at the moment on the same number of points and the goal difference is a big thing for us.

At the moment, that’s something that’s setting us apart from the other teams in the division.

We’ve got a few injuries to think about tonight though, with Frankie Kent, Tom Eastman and Luke Norris all battling to be fit.

I’m not sure if we can recall Cameron James from his loan at Braintree Town but it would be good if we could.

I thought he did well when he first broke into the team the season before last.

I don’t know how he would do as part of a four-man defence but he was certainly influential as part of a three.

I’m really hoping that Norris is fit enough to play tonight.

He’s been brilliant for us so far – I was looking at his stats the other day and they’re really impressive.

He’s the first forward we’ve signed in a long time who has been so influential, so early on and the good thing is that he scores different goals.

Saying that, I still think we miss Macauley Bonne.

I still see him now and again and I still can’t understand why we let him go.

He’s in great form for Leyton Orient at the moment and is currently the top scorer in all five of English football’s top five divisions.

I genuinely think he would be ahead of other players here, had he stayed.

Mika Mandron is also probably feeling disappointed not to be starting more – he had an excellent pre-season but you can’t argue with Norris’s form.

It will be interesting to see if Brennan Dickenson is back in the team tonight.

I don’t think I was the only one to be really surprised to see him on the bench against Bury but when you see Courtney Senior on the ball, you realise more why it’s happened.

We might have lost the game against Bury but there were plenty of positives from Courtney’s performance.

He’s great at beating his man and for someone who’s so young and inexperienced, he’s got a lot of confidence when he plays.

I think it’s good that John McGreal is happy to rotate sometimes.

I guess it might be an option for him to play both Senior and Dickenson on both wings and have the option of swapping them over, if needed.

Bury were better than I had expected them to be last weekend and I don’t understand how they’ve lost three games.

The injuries to our centre-backs didn’t help and it caused quite a lot of disruption, with the likes of Brandon Comley and Ryan Jackson having to fill in there.

They were all over us at times and I think their experience counted for a lot.

They had a lot of older players and their manager, Ryan Lowe, has obviously surrounded himself with experienced players.

Nothing really picked up until the 80th minute and then, it was too late.

There’s something in the fact that we’ve now dropped points against three of the teams that came down from League One, last season.

They’ve brought a bit more from a higher division into it and if we are looking to go up this season which we are, it’s something we probably need to look at.

I’m really looking forward to our game at Stevenage, this weekend.

It’s one of those away games where everyone comes out of their shell and goes to a Col U away game.

It’ll be good if we can take a good following there and be as loud as possible.

We’ve got a decent record there and won there last season, so let’s hope it’s the same again.
