COLCHESTER Harriers duo Paul Preston and Richard Flutter both claimed titles at the British Masters Grand Prix at Lee Valley.

Preston won the race to become over-45 champion, with Flutter finishing third to claim the over 50 crown.

Harwich Road Runner and second claim Harrier Bill Haining was seventh and took the over 60 gold.

Harriers claimed a team win at the Clacton half-marathon, with Ged McMillan storming to victory in a time of one hour 19 minutes 47 seconds.

McMillan, who recently won the Stour Valley 50km, finished ahead of team-mate Allen Smalls (1h 23m 12s) who had to settle for sixth place and first veteran over 50.

Harriers' victory was sealed by Dan Wilkinson (1h 43m 21s).

Fay Smalls ran a good half marathon in 2h 14m 51s as did Malcolm Statham in 2h 01m 46s.

Andrea James was the winner of the Pegwell Bay Park Run, in Kent.

Although going off course she still clocked 18m 59s.

Richard Heath was another Harrier to go the wrong way while leading the Dolgellau Mid Wales Park Run.

He came back on course to finish runner-up in 18m 09s.

Paul Rodgers won comfortably at the Mersea Cudmore Grove Park Run in 18m 25s, with Laura Shewbridge second lady in 19m 11s.

Debbie Cattermole was third lady.

At Colchester Castle, Jason Gunn won again in 17m 21s, with Danny Millward runner-up in 17m 43s and in third spot Alex Sales in a personal best (PB) of 18m 08s.

Max Caulfield was fourth (18m 15s) and Ian Haw fifth in 18m 51s, while youngster Kai Chilver had a great run for eighth place in 19m 56s.

Milly Presland was second lady at the Maldon Park Run in 20m 29s, in the South of France.

Fran Norris was fourth over-45 runner at the Le Plage 10km.
