HALSTEAD Boxing Club celebrated 12 months of successes at their annual awards presentation event.

Junior and senior boxers who had excelled in the gym and in competitions over the last year received their awards and certificates and medals were also awarded to all young boxers who had completed their different grading stages.

Joe Bonito took the senior award for the Best Fight of the Year, while Jason Bradley claimed the recognition from George Cook with the Head Coach Award and Rosie Atkins was named as Best Female Boxer.

In the juniors, the Boxers' Boxer award went to Matthew Swanson, with Riley Jones receiving a worthy mention after competing in two hard bouts in East London this year.

AWARDS: Juniors: Best Schoolboy Bout of the year - Luke Smee; Best Skills Bout - Jay McInnes; Best Youth Boxer of the season - Matthew Swanson; Junior Sportsman of the year - Louie Palmer; Boxers' Boxer Award - Matthew Swanson.

Ladies: Best female boxer - Rosie Atkins; Runner up - Natalie.

Seniors: Most outstanding Senior in the gym - Jason Bradley; Most Improved Boxer - Mitch Lawson; Best non-winning performance - Finlay Marven; Best Fight of the Year - Joe Bonito; Furthest in National Championships - Joe Bonito; President's Cup - Josh Legrove; Sportsman of the Year - Jay Snaith; Head Coach award - Jason Bradley; Paul Turner Trophy - Joe Bonito.
