DESPITE tough weather conditions, some hardy souls braved the elements in the two men’s Stableford competitions at Braintree Golf Club last weekend.
Kyron Moon, playing off a 16 handicap, won the Sunday event with 38 points, three better than his nearest rivals.
There was a countback for second spot with Matt Procter (9) gaining the verdict over Sean Kelly (6) after both had 35 points.
Another countback for fourth place on 33 points saw Callum Chamberlain (16) edge out Adam Greenaway (17).
Few members entered the Saturday competition, which saw Andrew Little win with 30 points off a handicap of ten.
