Great fighting spirit was shown by Colne Valley Golf Club’s Jubilee Cup team in beating Langdon Hill 5½-3½.
The team, which was led by Peter Ragus, were one match down after the singles but pulled this back and won the remaining pairs in superb style.
Meanwhile, Andrew Carter will represent Colne Valley Golf Club in the regional finals of the Fullers London Pride Gold Medal competition after finding success in the qualifying event with a nett 65. John Poulson was second on countback from Matt Anderson after both had nett 68s.
Mandy Rollings and Frankie Salmon were defeated three and two in the third round of the Munro Foursomes by a pair of single-handicap players from Colchester.
The seniors’ Monthly Stableford resulted in a win for John Thomson with 38 points, from Neil Lodge with 33 points in second on countback from Trevor Jarman.
