An 11th home win of the season meant Halstead Town maintained their push for promotion from Thurlow Nunn League division one this season.
Downham Town became the latest side to leave Rosemary Lane with nothing to show for their efforts as the hosts eased to a 3-0 victory.
Their win left Halstead third in the table with eight games to play and still on course for a move up.
Halstead's next game is set to be a trip to AFC Sudbury Reserves on Wednesday followed by next Saturday's home fixture against leaders Whitton United.
