A number of caravans have pitched up on the field of a popular public park.
It's believed the travellers, which set up on a field at Shoebury Park, Elm Road, yesterday evening, pitched up at around 8.30pm.
Nearby residents have since taken to social media to air their concerns about their arrival, with pictures showing around six on site emerging online.
This comes shortly after a traveller group moved on from the green space on the junctions of Maplin Way North, Barnstaple Road and Bishopsteignton yesterday evening.
Reports suggest the encampment at Shoebury Park still remains there this morning.

Councillor Alex Bright, who represents the Southchurch ward, said: "I was present on site at the green space on the junctions of Maplin Way North, Barnstaple Road and Bishopsteignton at 10.06pm following reports from residents late yesterday evening that travellers had set-up an illegal encampment here. However, I am pleased to see that they have now moved on.
"Unfortunately, had the current administration backed the Conservative’s motion for a borough-wide injunction on illegal traveller encampments, the travellers may have been reluctant to have come to Southend in the first place."
