A man was stabbed in the chest and leg following a fight in Southend.
Essex Police are investigating reports of a confrontation shortly after 7pm on Friday, involving a group of around four people.
It is believed a fight broke out outside the Nisa store, in Eastern Esplanade, before ending on the Kursaal estate.
A police spokesman thanked the public for reporting the incident.
"A group of around four people, believed to be in their early to mid-twenties, were believed to be involved in the incident," he said.
"The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his leg and chest.
"These are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing."
