Anger - travellers have pitched up in Windjammer car park on Canvey
Nine caravans have crammed into a small Canvey car park.
Residents have taken to social media to express their fury, after 'travellers' set up encampment at the Windjammer car park last night.
Essex Police have confirmed they were called around 8.30pm last night with reports of an unauthorised encampment on Eastern Esplanade.
Officers attended the site and are liaising with the land owner to monitor the situation.
It's believed the caravans still remain at the site this morning.
A spokesperson for Castle Point Council, said: "The caravans are on private land so the council are monitoring the situation."
