A PERSON has been fined after travelling more then 300 miles to get some fresh air during the coronavirus lockdown.
The person, from Southend, travelled all the way to the Lake District in order to see the nature, enjoy the weather and have a day out.
However, they were stopped by Cumbria Police in the final steps of his journey where he was issued a fine and advised to return to Southend.
Within minutes another vehicle from just down the road, Southend on Sea, decided a day out to the Lakes for some nature was warranted. Another fine issued along with my succinct words of advice #getthemessage #StayAtHome #1807 pic.twitter.com/Al7Oz2poRO
