The mural was painted using acrylics on 7 x 7 in lining paper, is displayed in Lovelace Avenue, in Southchurch.
It depicts one of the sitcoms funniest episodes where the German U-boat Captain tries to get Private Pike’s name causing Captain Mainwaring to accidentally reveal it when he shouts: “Don’t tell him Pike!”

The whole of Lovelace Avenue got stuck in to the the VE Day celebrations with most of the street having pulled together to put up colourful bunting from one home to another.
Councillor Matt Dent, Kursaal Ward councillor, said: “Massively impressed with what I saw on my walk today of the VE Day effort by residents of Lovelace Avenue - including bunting strung between houses and a fantastic piece of artwork by local artist John Bulley.”
Mr Bulley is well known for his bold murals around the town including another humourously done, Second World War one, at Scratton Road.
