A CRASH blocked a major Southend road.

Police and fire crews attended the scene in Victoria Avenue outside Southend Victoria train station.

At least one car has been involved in the crash.

Pictures of the scene circulating online show the wreckage of the car with multiple emergency services personnel in attendance.

It is not known if there has been any serious injuries.

The incident was cleared at 12.25pm.

Essex Fire service have been contacted for comment.
