A SURVEY has been launched by a Southend MP on the future of the BBC.
James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, has launched a survey for his constituents to share their views on the future of the broadcasting service.
As the debate surrounding the TV license fee intensifies, Duddridge has asked his residents what they think.
This comes after the government launched a nationwide consultation on decriminalising TV licence evasion.
Under the Communications Act 2003, a television licence is required to install or use a television receiver.
The MP said: "The way we consume television is changing and I’m genuinely interested to hear where residents stand on the licence fee and the future of the BBC.
"Whether you're for or against it, I want to hear what everybody thinks, so if you have a spare five minutes, please take part in the survey."
