PICTURES have emerged showing ambulance crews in protective clothing transporting a patient away.
The pictures were taken in Ascot Grove in Basildon at around 5.15pm this evening and show an ambulance and emergency response car in the road.
At least two members of ambulance staff were seen wearing protective clothing.
A witness from the scene stated a patient was loaded into the ambulance and another person got into the emergency response vehicle wearing a mask.
It is not known what condition the patient is in or the circumstances around the ambulance visit.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
