A POLICE cordon remains in place after a teenager was stabbed in Southend.

The 18-year-old was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following the stabbing in Trinity Road at around 12.50pm this afternoon.

Officers are carrying out investigations at a house in the road, where the front garden has been taped off.

Another cordon has been put in place at another property on the road.

Witnesses reported that multiple police cars with armed officers had attended the scene.

No arrests have been made in connection to the attack.

Neighbours on the road say the building in question is a bail hostel.
