NEW play equipment has been unveiled at a Basildon playground.
Improvements to playground at Markhams Chase, include brand new equipment, improvements to existing equipment, new bins and benches, and the replacement of safety surfaces.
This comes after Basildon Council invested £150,000 into the site.
David Harrison, Chairman of the Neighbourhoods and Public Spaces Committee, said: "Basildon Council is committed to making the borough a place where people want to live.
"Having well maintained parks and open spaces is key to this.
"Markhams Chase was in need of some attention and this investment has made it an environment where children can play safely while having fun and challenging themselves."
