THE Dartford Crossing bridge is closed today due to high winds, Highways England have confirmed.
The QE2 bridge at the crossing on the M25 is closed in both directions due to the level of high winds, which are expected to last for most of the day.
Traffic is being diverted via the right hand tunnel.
Traffic from Kent into Essex will be travelling in the left hand tunnel, and the Essex to Kent contraflow will go in the right hand tunnel.
Highways England said more updates will be provided as soon as the bridge is open again.
