AS TEMPERATURES fall this weekend - with an outside chance of snow in Essex - let's not forget about helping to protect the homeless on our streets.
The Essex Weather Centre has warned snow could be on the horizon today, stating: "Rain or sleet likely, perhaps snow over the highest parts of Essex, but gradually easing."
Tomorrow is set to be even colder, with overnight frosts possible, with temperatures barely getting above freezing.
Meanwhile, the homeless problem on the streets of South Essex, particularly Southend and Basildon has been well-documented.
If you have serious concerns for a homeless person's well-being, as the cold starts to bite, you should contact your local council immediately - or even the police if a homeless person is sleeping rough with a child.
