WHILE in Barcelona and wandering around in the evenings, I couldn’t help but notice and admire the closed shop shutters which were covered in wonderful colourful graffiti relevant to the shops behind them.
Driving slowly along the Golden Mile this afternoon, I noticed all the closed seasonal shops with their bare grey unpainted shutters - boring!
I thought how much more attractive and vibrant they would look if they also were painted, by maybe John Bulley and other local graffiti artists.
They would all have their work on display for everyone, locals and visitors to admire and out of season everyone could see would be for sale when these shops reopened in 2019.
