FOLK-punk festival favourite, Doozer McDooze, has launched a kickstarter campaign to fund a the launch of his brand new solo album.

The bearded man from Benfleet, who also fronts Deferred Success, says: “I’ve been recording with Jeremy Paul Carroll and I think this is the best thing I’ve recorded as a solo performer.

Its just me, with a guitar, stomp box and voice. I wanted to make a recording of what I have been doing live.

“Because I wanted to do something special for this album release, I’ve have gone and done something really really scary… I have booked The Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden, London, on June 18.

I plan to sell it out!.

“It’s limited to just 100 tickets and you can only get the tickets through Kickstarter. If your name is not on the list you’re not coming in.

“Everyone who gets a ticket for the gig will get a goody bag packed with loads of limited edition merchandise.”

Doozer, real name Paul Short, has a £2,000 target to pay for manufacturing CDs, the eco tote goody bags, merchandise including posters, T-shirts and badges, and for putting on the night.

He is asking people to pledge £20 in return for a ticket and a goody bag.

The night at the Fiddler’s Elbow takes place from 6:30pm until 10pm.
