Three staff members at a popular Wetherspoons pub have all tested positive for coronavirus, bosses have confirmed.
Two workers at The Elms, London Road in Leigh tested positive for the virus on October 19 and then the following day, a third member of staff also tested positive for the virus.
Bosses say as a precaution, 11 other employees who may have come into contact with the three members of staff were asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
A spokesperson for JD Wetherspoons said: "We can confirm that two employees at the Elms, Leigh-On-Sea notified us of having tested positive for Covid-19 on October 19.
"A third employee notified us of testing positive on October 20. In accordance with NHS guidelines, the employees have been required to self-isolate for the requisite ten-day period. Wetherspoon has notified Public Health England of the positive results.
"As a precaution, in accordance with public health guidelines, 11 other members of staff who may have come into close contact with the employees who tested positive have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days."
