Action needed to save our wildlife
We have witnessed the destruction of established hedges and mature trees by developers around Maldon in recent times.
The hedges are a feature of the landscape, a home for many animals, birds and insects and a shield between roads and houses reducing noise and pollution.
Bearing in mind that there is now growing support for protecting our environment to the extent that HRH Prince William has joined forces with Sir David Attenborough.
So, it’s about time that Maldon District Council gets onside and prevents this destruction when authorising developments.
