THE countdown is ticking to the opening night of a new in demand Halstead restaurant which is set to open next week.

DOUGH&co has finished renovations to the interior of their latest restaurant in Halstead's High Street.

Now the pizza restaurant, which also has branches in Sudbury and Colchester, is set to open for the first time on Wednesday 7 October.

Prior to becoming a pizza restaurant, the building was used as a Baldwins clothing shop.

However, the venue has undergone extensive renovations with DOUGH&co stripping out and replacing every aspect of the old interior.

The interior is now filled with trademark features you'd find in any DOUGH&co such as recycled pallet furniture and a Woodfired pizza oven.

They have also created divisions for an open bar and kitchen to watch your food & drinks being made.

Owner, Chris Sharman, 28, decided to open a Halstead branch after receiving multiple delivery orders from the town at the Sudbury branch.

Demand for the new restaurant is high with the pizzeria almost fully booked for the first two weeks from its opening date on October 7.

The restaurant have also confirmed they will be delivering to residents every day from 5pm to 10pm or 11pm depending on the day.

They are also considering extending to day time deliveries as well but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

The restaurant will deliver to a seven mile radius which means they'll deliver as far as Great Yeldham to the north and near Freeport, Braintree to the south.

Owner Chris Sharman said: "“Everyone at DOUGH&co has been astounded by the sheer amount of support the local people of Halstead have given us.

"We look forward to bringing you the best pizza in the south east of England coupled with restaurant quality service, even when ordering from home.

"We look forward to welcoming you all through our doors on the 7th of October”
