FIRE teams were called to an incident in Steeple Bumpstead today after a combine harvester caught fire.
Firefighters with the Essex County Fire and Rescue service were called to an address on Herkstead Lane on Thursday 6 August at around 3.12am.
Fire crews were called after reports of farm machinery catching fire.
Crews arrived to find a combine harvester alight.
Fire crews reported that the combine was parked next to a storage building.
Firefighters worked quickly to put out the flames before they could spread to the building and they managed to extinguish the fire by 5.25am.
