POLICE have located a stash of stolen cars and parts after conducting a search at an industrial until in Gestingthorpe.
Officers executed a warrant at an address in Moat Street on Tuesday, finding a hidden collection of stolen cars and car parts.
At the address, officers located two stolen cars, a stolen motorbike and car parts from five different stolen vehicles.
Essex Police believe the the vehicles and the part relate to theft offences in London and are working closely with fellow policing teams.
Officers are continuing to make enquiries at the scene and are now working with the site's owner.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Chief Inspector Janette Rawlingson, District Commander for Braintree, said: “My officers are looking to catch criminals in all parts of my district – that includes our towns and smaller villages such as Gestingthorpe.
“Let this be a warning, there is no place for you to hide.
“If you want to commit offences in our district, we will do everything we can to detect and disrupt you."
