A BUSY road is set to be closed overnight as part of ongoing works to change roundabouts in Colchester.
The A133, St Andrews Avenue, will be shut on Monday night from 8pm for roadworks.
The road will remain shut between Ipswich Road and Harwich Road until 5am on Tuesday.
A diversion will be available via Ipswich Road south, East Street, Brook Street, Hythe Hill, Maudlyn Road, Colne Causeway and St Andrews Avenue.
Work will also take place on St Andrews Avenue east where the road remains open using twoway traffic lights.
The work is for level surveys and testing in preparation for final road surfacing.
It is part of the road improvement scheme on the A133 Ipswich Road to Harwich Road is to make single roundabouts.
It is hoped the project will be completed this summer.
