A FURTHER two deaths have been recorded at the a mid Essex hospital trust in the past 24 hours.

The deaths were recorded by the Mid Essex Hospital Services Trust who run Broomfield Hospital.

Thankfully the figures, which were released by NHS England today, also show that there have been no further deaths at the other mid Essex trusts of Braintree Community Hospital, Halstead Hospital and St Peter's Hospital in Maldon.

Across the who of Essex, a total of 15 deaths were recorded, already including the two from the Mid Essex Hospital Services Trust.

Five deaths were recorded at the East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust which runs Colchester Hospital while a further four were also recorded in Southend.

Basildon and Thurrock's trusts recorded two deaths as did the Princess Alexandra trust.

The new figures bring the total number of deaths at the eleven Essex trusts to 1,144.

The number of deaths across England has also risen by 350 to 23,709.

  • Mid Essex Trust: 168
  • Anglian Community Enterprise- Fryatt Hospital: 19
  • Essex Partnership Trust: 16
  • Provide - Braintree Community Hospital: 6
  • Provide - St Peter's Hospital, Maldon: 2
  • Anglian Community Enterprise- Clacton Hospital: 2
  • Provide - Halstead Hospital: 1
