A DRUG driver has been banned from the roads for a year.
Sean Crisell, 28, was pulled over by police on the A120 at Parkeston in October during a traffic operation over concerns about one of the tyres on his Volkswagen Golf.
When speaking to him, officers smelt cannabis.
Tests showed Crisell, of Low Road, Dovercourt, had an illegal level of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol - a cannabis derivative - in his blood.
He admitted drug driving at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
As well as his ban, he was fined £246 and ordered to pay £105 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
