ONLY Fools and Horses’ actor Paul Barber will be the guest of honour at the opening of a special beach hut.

Tahn Gueizelar, 45, of The Haven, Dovercourt, was overwhelmed when Andy Hodgson, the owner of Tendring Garden Products, offered to build the beach hut for her disabled son, Tyler Bird.

The family has invited people to join them at the official opening of the hut and get the chance to meet Mr Barber.

Than said: “He is known as Denzil, from Only Fools and Horses, but don’t call him Denzil though, because he doesn’t like it.

“This is just another amazing gesture for Tyler.”

The event will take place on March 1 at 11am at the cricket club, in West End Lane, Dovercourt, and there will also be a bouncy castle for children and a beach hut cake to celebrate.
