A CHARITY shop is to close.
Sue Ryder, in High Street, Manningtree has now closed.
Richard Casey, 32, manager at the shop, said the charity has not been able to find an alternative location in Manningtree.
He said: “I personally have enjoyed working for the charity and meeting the residents who have supported Sue Ryder for many years.
“On behalf of my volunteers who help me out here, I like to think they know how thankful I am to them.
“I’d encourage anyone with a little time to spare to volunteer for a charity because everyone seems to help each other and it is a great step towards fighting loneliness or seclusion, even anxiety and depression.
“Hopefully if something suitable becomes available in the future, we will be back.”
The charity has had a shop in Manningtree for more than 20 years.
