FIREFIGHTERS released a woman from a car after two vehicles had crashed in Southend.
Two crews from Southend were called to Rochford Road at 11.29pm.
On arrival firefighters reported two vehicles had collided and a woman was trapped in a car.
They worked to release the woman by 12.36am and she was left in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: "I can confirm that following an emergency call shortly after 11pm last night five ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle attended a road traffic collision at Rochford Road, Southend.
"Three people were treated at the scene and three people were conveyed to Southend University Hospital."
