A TOWN’S annual Christmas light switch-on night will see Santa and his real reindeer coming to Dovercourt.
This year’s exciting event will be held on Friday, December 6, from 5pm to 8pm in High Street.
Children’s rides, games and craft stalls will be on site and there is going to be live performances from Wendy Wild, Jodie Hunt, Penny Dee, Ballroom Business and Harmonie Rose Dance Academy.
The event, which is being organised by the Harwich and Dovercourt Community Events team, will be expecting a visit from Elsa and hopefully some other Disney princesses, together with Scrooge and The Grinch.
Santa’s grotto will be set up in Kingsway Hall, where stalls and refreshments will also be on site.
The mayor has been invited to turn the lights on.
This extravagant free Christmas event has been joined by about 6,000 people in previous years.
