HUNDREDS of students have been attending careers festivals.
During the past two weeks, more than 400 Harwich and Dovercourt High School students have attended careers festivals.
These were designed to encourage and support their progress onto the next stage of their educational pathway.
On October 9, 185 Year Ten students visited the Tendring Education Centre, in Clacton.
Here they were able to gather information from more than 50 different providers, who were able to support on careers guidance.
A Harwich and Dovercourt High School spokesman said: “The students were enthused by this event, and are now actively considering their next steps.”
Then, a total of 225 Year 11 students attended the Suffolk Skills event, at Trinity Park, in Ipswich, on October 16.
He added: “These pupils were able to seek advice and guidance from more than 100 different providers, including the Armed Forces.
“Both events proved highly successful, as in conjunction with teaching at school, student aspirations are being raised - making them aware that they can achieve what they set out to do.”
