A COUNCIL is investigating a noise complaint.

Tendring Council is investigating after a resident, of Albemarle Street, Harwich, who asked not to be named, made allegations about one of his neighbours being too noisy, playing loud music, throwing parties, slamming doors and shouting loudly.

He said: “I can’t sleep at all, this has been going on for three years, ever since I moved in.

“It’s affecting my work and my temper.

“My boss is having a go at me, as I keep falling asleep at work and he says this has been going on for too long.

“I am constantly stressed, my whole personality has changed and I’m not going out anymore, because I’m always tired.”

The accused neighbour, who asked not to be named, said feels she has been wrongly accused.

She said: “I am mostly asleep, as I’ve had radio therapy, and I’ve just came out of hospital.

“I am just getting over two cancer operations.

“I am in and out of hospital and I’ve just lost my mother two months ago.

“I haven’t even properly been home.

“I don’t need this complaint, I’ve been going through a lot recently and this just only puts an extra strain on me.”

“I’m getting fed up, it’s making my life a hell.”

A Tending Council spokesman said: “Council officers are in contact with the complainer to investigate his concerns.

“We must follow procedures and gather evidence in order to decide whether any formal enforcement action should be taken.”
