A business-themed week is coming to the area to inspire, support and celebrate firms.

Tendring 4 Growth is organised by Tendring Council and will run from Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4.

The week-long event is dedicated to supporting and championing local entrepreneurs and businesses.

TENDRING4GROWTH is the council’s strategy which seeks the growth of the district’s economic performance, with the aim of engaging with businesses to offer guidance, support and networking opportunities.

Mary Newton, councillor responsible for business, said: “Tendring’s business week provides a real opportunity for businesses to come together to share knowledge, network, collaborate and hear about exciting developments that are promoting economic growth in the district.

“Along with our partners and investment that is being brought to the district, we are building a very exciting and bright future for businesses in Tendring.”

The business week will be launched with a free breakfast event at 8am on September 30 at The Pavilion, in Clacton.

Council leader Neil Stock will introduce the council’s growth ambitions and its future plans.

The guest speaker is Scott Russell, founder of Paddy and Scotts Coffee.

A Tendring Energy Seminar will take place on Wednesday, October 2, at the Waterfront, in Dovercourt, at 8.30am.

The free event will include talks from industry experts such as Nautilus Associates, EDF Energy, Galloper Wind Farm and Greater South East Energy Hub.

The seminar will cover many aspects of the sector in the East of England, with an emphasis on wind, nuclear and micro grid systems.

A Women in Business Networking event will be held at the Royal Hotel in Clacton from 8am on Thursday, October 3. The main speaker will be Charlotte Bate from MadHR with tips on starting your own business.
