RESURFACING and repair work will see a section of a major road closed overnight for up to eight weeks.

Highways England will be carrying out maintenance work on the A120, between the Horsley Cross roundabout and Ramsey.

The works will start on Monday, September 23 and will take about eight weeks to complete.

A spokesman said: “The work will be carried out in three phases.

“Repairs will include resurfacing, concrete repairs, renewal of road markings and road studs.

“To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A120 between Horsley Cross and Ramsey between 8pm and 6am on weeknights only.

“Drivers will be diverted from the A120 to follow a signed diversion via the B1035 and B1352.”

Delays previously impacted on the construction of the new £3million roundabout at Horsley Cross.

It was finished this summer, six months later than originally expected, after preliminary works started in October 2017.
